Description

The station was opened in 1876 and built by the Midland Railway. It was closed in May 1970 when stopping trains on the Settle and Carlisle Line finished, but fully re-opened in July 1986. The building has a single storey with a central gabled bay that projects forwards, and a smaller wing to the north.
