Description

Changes to the structure include a new chamber above the Prior's Chamber, two new floors added to the porch, walls added creating a courtyard and covered access to the hall, a new chamber on the site of the twelfth century kitchen and a new kitchen building sited over the stream. This illustration is one of a series of phased reconstructions showing the changes made to the west front of the Priory between the twelfth and the late fifteenth centuries; see IC023/012, IC023/014 - IC023/016 and IC023/019 for other reconstructions in the set. This illustration was reproduced on page 20 of the 2008 English Heritage guidebook for the site.
