Description

The illustration is reproduced as figure 49 on page 75 of the 1993 English Heritage book 'Glastonbury' by Philip Rahtz.

The Anglo-Saxon 'Old Church' is thought to have been built in the 7th century AD and survived until a fire in 1184, by which time the stone pyramids were in a weathered state.
