URPETH HIGH URPETH NZ 25 SW 235542 3/64 Upper Forge Bridge II
Small road bridge over Urpeth Burn. Early C19. Tooled dressed sandstone.
Both faces similar. Single near-semicircular arch with set-back voussoirs and chamfered arch band. Parapet, above band at road level, has chamfered coping course. Slightly-projecting, square-plan end piers. Later battered abutment on south-west.
This bridge straddles the parishes of Urpeth and Lamesley.
