5/223 Old Steam Laundry -

GV II

Steam Laundry now converted, circa 1840. Rubblestone with ashlar dressings, and brick voussoirs with gable ended ragslate roof with projecting eaves and brick stacks with moulded brick caps. 2 storeys symmetrical front to canal 10-bay round-headed open arcade of brick with ashlar keystone below ashlar string course.

Segmental headed brick arches to windows above with C20 windows. Right gable timber boarded above string course with large industrial brick stack in rear right corner with corbelled, rolled stack with present capping at ridge. Attic converted with C20 roof lights inserted. One of a group of industrial buildings which line the Bude end of the Bude canal.
