Circa 1822. One of a number of curved plan stone garden seats probably designed by Sir Richard Westmacott or Wyattville. Inspired from one at Dropmore. [Clearly similar in handling to the loggia qv]. Large scale.
Semi-circular bench (stone) on fluted supports. Large scrolls at each end.
High panelled ashlar back with moulded cope returned on each side with 2 panelled piers supporting vases. This seat approached by a number of wide shallow steps enclosed by a formal yew hedge layout. Narrow steps to each side.
