SD5205 LAFFORD LANE 783-1/7/47 (West side) 11/03/92 Wash-house approximately 5 metres south-west of Rothwell House

GV II

Wash-house, now store. Probably later C19. Red brick in English garden wall bond, slate roof. Small rectangular single-cell building with doorway to right, one 3-light sliding sash window in each long wall, and chimney at left gable. INTERIOR: large rectangular stone fireplace (cast-iron oven-and-boiler range removed for cleaning), and washing boiler in corner to right of this. Forms group with Rothwell House approximately 5 metres north-east (qv). Included for group value.
