2. A C17 timber-framed and plastered house, altered in the late C18, now cement rendered.

2 storeys. 5 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush eased frames.

The doorway has a fluted architrave with corner roundels and a small hood on brackets. The ground storey has C20 built out shop fronts. Roof tiled, the west gable is weatherboarded.

Included for group value.

Nos 58 and 60 and The Griffin Inn with the Chantry and Lingwood House form a group.
