Bridge over the River Avon. Circa 1720-40, widened and remodelled in 1826 by H.E. Goodridge of Bath. Ashlar. Single arch spanning 28 metres rusticated quoins.

Open roundels in the spandrels. Battered and projecting abutments with sunken panels. 8 round headed flood arches with cutwaters between on each side, those on the Bath side curving towards the east. Plain band over and coped parapet.

John Wood's Description of Bath states that the drawings for the original bridge were made by a Mr Hobbs for John Strahan of Bristol but that the work was executed by Ralph Allen. Also listed in the City of Bath, item 1/643.
