Circa 1730. Formerly the George Inn (later the George and Pelican) and used as the residential premises of the hotel until circa 1850. Now in 2 occupations.

Three storeys. Six windows. Hipped slate roof. Red brick with 3 dwarf pilasters on enriched corbels at 2nd floor level. Modillion eaves cornice. Architraved casement windows at 1st floor, 2-light mullion and transom windows with triangular and segmental pediments in pairs. Ground floor with modern bank front and late C19 shopfront. C19 panelling to 1st floor; No 22 with reused C17 oak panelling on the ground floor. Original C18 staircase. (Newbury Buildings Past and Present (1973) 6, 7).
