GODALMING HIGH STREET SU 9643 NE (north side) 12/137 Pump set on south side of The Pepper Pot GV II

Pump. Early C19. Made by Clinton and Owens, Engineers. Cast iron. Tall cyclindrical shaft approximately 1 1/2 metres high with plinth and ring moulding; head is larger in diameter and has manufacturer's name plate set above spout, fluted domed cap with bud finial, and long curved handle with bud terminal. The pump was removed from the opposite side of the Pepper Pot and reset on this side in the 1870s (J Janaway Pers.Comm.)
