1594 (North Side) The Royal George Public House including part of former No 19 SU 1430 SE 2/242 II* GV 2.

C18 refacing and heightening to front of C15 timber framed building (last bay to right part of former No 19: C18). 2 storeys pebbledash. Steep pitch gable end old tile roof (higher over remaining part of former No 19).

Projecting eaves. 4 casement window with cambered heads to 1st floor (3 3 light and one 2 light). Ground floor has had alterations and the windows and doors have been reset. 4 low sash windows of 5 x 3 panes and one of 6 x 4 panes to right (former No 19). One door to left with architrave surround. Plain ledged door with flat hood.

To rear timber training with curved bracing visible. Interior has good C15 roof, Kingpost, centred collar, windbraces.

The Royal George Public House & Nos 23 to 49 (odd) form a group.
