House, now wine bar and lettable rooms. C16 and late C18. Timber-framed with red Flemish-bond brick front, gabled machine-made clay plain tile roof. 2 storeys with attics and parallel, 2-storey gambrel roofed and rendered range on rear. EXTERIOR: front has 3 flat-roofed dormers with casements behind plain parapet. First-floor 3-window range of recessed double-hung sashes with small panes and flat rubbed brick arches. Ground floor has central semicircular-arched door opening and fanlight with curved subdivisions. On one side is C20 imitation early C19 shop front with pilasters, large panes and flat cornice hood. To the NE is a matching double-hung sash. Black tarred plinth, moulded brick coping and cast-iron inset boot scraper. INTERIOR: 2 bays of long-wall jetty type C16 timber-framing, probably representing hall/chamber and solar/service. Plain oak joists with soffit tenons and diminished haunches into very deep, flat chamfered spine beams. Exposed framing on first floor and attic floor bridging joists, one oak, one pine with quadrant-moulded chamfers. Remnants of former crown post with 2 posts and length of collar purlin (braces missings).
