SX 79 SW DREWSTEIGNTON DREWSTEIGNTON
5/99 Anonymous chest tomb approximately 2 metres south of aisle of Church of Holy Trinity GV II
Chest tomb. Probably C18. Granite ashlar. Rectangular in plan the plain walls are built of coursed blocks of ashlar. Thick flat lid made from a single slab of granite with a gentle hollow-chamfered soffit. If there was ever an inscription on the lid it has since worn away.
