2. C16 timber-framed house built on a half H plan, with C17 and C19 additions.

Two storeys. The front is gabled at each end and the upper storey is jettied on the whole front on exposed joists and has exposed timber-framing. Three window range of mainly 4-light casements with leaded lights. Roof tiled, with a fine original central chimney stack with 5 octagonal shafts grouped on a cruciform base. The interior has moulded ceiling beams. (RCHM 1 Bartlow End).
