GV II

Public house, late C16 or early C17, with C19 alterations. 3-cell plan. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and plastered. Plaintiled roof (once thatched), with two C19 axial chimneys of red brick. Mid C19 windows: small-pane sashes at ground storey, and small-pane casements at 1st storey. Single-storey late C19 entrance porch of red brick with gault brick bands, plaintiled roof, 4- panelled door. Two other C19 panelled doors. A little unmoulded framing exposed in the bars; evidence for close studding, and it is believed there are concealed diamond-mullioned windows. The building was extended to right by one bay in C18/C19.
