J Palmer. Circa 1788. 3 storeys and mansard. 3 windows. Above 1st floor windows is decorated band course. Rusticated ground floor. Modillion cornice with open balustrade. Houses in centre (Nos 10 and 11) have pediment with 4 giant Ionic pilasters. End houses have bows (full height). Original iron work. Lamp holders etc. The doorways of central houses are linked by continuous Doric entablature on four 3 quarter attached columns, the central opening containing semi-circular niche. William Beckford lived in Nos 19 and 20.
