Gatelodge to W drive of Stagenhoe Park, now a private house. 1897, inscription on SE angle 'VR J 60/WBH' for Victoria Regina 60th Jubilee, William Bayley Hawkins. Brick roughcast with steep red tile hipped roofs and much white-painted woodwork. A pretty Arts and Crafts style lodge straight out of Kate Greenaway. 1-storeys facing drive on S. L-shaped plan with single-storey open porch with seat, in SE angle. Exagerated overhang to eaves and long curling wrought iron brackets. Heavy wooden glazing bars to small casement windows with heart-shaped holes in external shutters. Porch flanked by brackets in the outline of birds rising. Moulded cornice to flat roof over.
