MAUGERSBURY MAUGERSBURY VILLAGE SP 12 NE 3/156 The Dower House (formerly listed as The Dower House and Barn) 25.8.60 II Former farmhouse, then dower house, now detached house. C17, C19 and C20. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar stacks. Rectangular main body with C19 extension running back rear left; C20 extension left and C20 single storey extension rear right not of special interest. Main body; two storeys and attic lit by 2-light double-chamfered ovolo-mullioned casements.

4-windowed facade; 3 and 4-light double-chamfered, ovolo-mullioned windows some C19 with horizontal glazing bars and stopped hoods.

C20 plank door incorporating single light at top, off-centre right within moulded 4-centred surround with imposts and stopped hood. 2 axial stacks with moulded cappings to main body. Interior not inspected.
