Gates, gatepiers and churchyard wall: probably early C19. Red sandstone blocks. Simple square gate piers with domed tops containing a pair of iron gates with pointed circular bars, arch braced above the lockrails. Dog bars below with diamond shaped bracing. Similar single gate to right has overthrow and a lantern holder. Simple stone retaining wall to churchyard has stepped triangular coping near the gates, flat coping elsewhere. 3 buttresses along the lane side. At west end is an iron ring to which has become attached the legend that ships tied up here when Shotwick was a port.
