Description

Work began in February 1959 on a new factory for T. Walls and Sons Limited on a 30 acre site at Barnwood. The £2 million project comprised buildings including the production block, workshops, offices, a canteen, boiler house, cold store, water tower, and engineers' shop. This photograph was published in the September 1960 edition of 'Team Spirit', the Laing newsletter. The caption below this photograph reads: "WALLS FACTORY, GLOUCESTER. South and west elevation of Office Block with Production Block roof behind."

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
