This image shows the opening of the 3000th Easiform dwelling in Bristol. The key was presented to the family shown in the photograph by the Lord Mayor of Bristol. The Chairman of the Housing Committee announced that the new tenant was the 16,689th tenant to be housed or rehoused by the Council following the end of the Second World War in 1945. Sir Maurice Laing also attended the ceremony and reflected on the success of the house building programme in Bristol.
