Description

The 30,000th post-war Easiform house was an end terrace on the Wood Farm Estate in Oxford. The house was opened by MP Alfred Ernest Marples, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government. Various representatives of the local authorities for whom the houses were built attended the ceremony. Representatives from the Ministry of Works, associate contractors and sub-contractors, the Mayor and Mayoress of Oxford, and many others gathered for the opening.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
