In 1947, after a seven year break, Laing had resurrected their 'Area Outings' for staff and their families, with trips taking place in May and June. In 1954, there were seven outings planned to take place over five weeks in May and June. This trip was for staff and their families from North Wales and North West England. A cropped version of this photograph was published in the July 1954 edition of 'Team Spirit', the Laing employee newsletter.
