Description

Holme Moss transmitting station was launched in October 1951 and was the BBC's third public television transmitter. Television signals travelled as far as The Isle of Man and parts of the Irish Republic. The mast survived until 1985, but a replacement mast was constructed adjacent to it in 1984.
