Description

This retirement ceremony for ten men took place at Laing's Mill Hill office on 30th May 1958. An article and photographs on the ceremony was published in Laing's Team Spirit magazine in July 1958. Joe Robinson, shown in the photograph, had joined the company in 1920 in Hereford, working as a cashier for many years before going into the Quantity Surveyors Department. T W Laing joined the Company at Port Talbot in 1920 but spent most of his time in the Carlisle area, being responsible for storekeeping and checking.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
