Various Company caravan sites existed along the London-Yorkshire Motorway, other examples being at Farley Green, Husborne Crawley, Long Buckby and Sherington. There were approximately 30 caravans at Sherington, which was thought to be one of the largest caravan sites used by those working on the motorway.
