Description

The caption beneath the corresponding album print reads '50' - 0" span mass concrete arch over Newport Pagnell - Wolverton Road. (...) Bush hammering proceeding at right hand side of photograph'. Bush hammering describes the use of impact tools to remove mortar and fracture aggregate from exposed concrete surfaces.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
