Description

This image shows the M45; a road that spurs off the M1 at Junction 17 and runs to Thurlaston near Dunchurch. This was considered part of the 'London to Yorkshire Motorway', and was designed to dissipate some of the motorway traffic before the M1 terminated at Junction 18.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
