Description

Cripps Hall was designed by architects Donald McMorran and George Whitby and was built by Laing for the University of Nottingham. The foundation stone was laid on 30th September 1957 and work was completed on 31st July 1959. The student accommodation included seven blocks, mainly of three-storeys, a warden's house and ancillary buildings grouped around two quadrangles. There was a communal dining hall, common rooms, a library and houses containing a total of 230 study-bedrooms with rooms for social activities.
