Description

On his retirement, J Gregg had worked for the company for over 38 years and was one of the founders of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors and had been president of the organisation between 1949-51. His farewell gift was a grandmother clock together with a wallet and book containing the names of all who had contributed. The long service and retirement presentation was held at Wembley Town Hall after an Annual General Meeting of the company.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
