Description

A service to mark the opening of the new Quex Road Methodist Church was held on 13th July 1963. Construction had taken 12 months; the foundation stone was laid on 27th October 1962. The church was built using load-bearing brickwork with a concrete portal frame roof. The interior joinery was African mahogany and was made in Mill Hill. This photograph was published in the September 1963 edition of 'Team Spirit', the Laing newsletter.
