Description

Willoughby Hall was built by Laing for the University of Nottingham to accommodate female students. It is in a L-shaped building comprising of two blocks of three and five storeys and was the first hall at the university to be built in reinforced concrete. It was clad with Ibstock handmade silver/grey bricks and panels of Broughton Moor slate above and below the windows around the main entrance.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
