Description

Two silos and an elevator tower were built by Laing at Spalding Sugar Factory for the British Sugar Corporation in 1965. A cement shortage slowed progress on the construction of the silos, which both reached their full height by August 1965. When completed, they would each hold 12,000 tons of sugar.
