Description

Children aged 4-7 years were invited to a Christmas party, while children aged 8-15 years were taken to see 'Sleeping Beauty on Ice' at Wembley. The party for 170 children was held in the new restaurant area of Laing's Mill Hill offices. The children played games, enjoyed a tea, sang carols, watched cartoons and were entertained by Uncle Fred, a children's entertainer and ventriloquist. The party ended with Father Christmas distributing presents.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
