Description

Cavendish and Ancaster halls of residence were designed by architects Williamson, Faulkner Brown and Partners and were built by Laing for the University of Nottingham with work starting on site in June 1964. These brick buildings were both similar in design and the student accommodation was almost identical. Each hall was designed to accommodate 161 female students and each one also provided a dining hall, library and senior and junior common rooms.
