Description

Phase II of the Barbican development consists of the area surrounding St Giles-without-Cripplegate Church and the Thomas More Gardens to the west of the site. The contract for Phase II was awarded to Turriff Limited, however delays and labour disputes halted progress in the construction. Turriff eventually withdrew from the contract, which was taken over by John Laing and Son Ltd.
