Description

Laing was only one of a whole host of contractors involved in the construction of the works at Redcar, at times more than 3,500 operatives were on site of which only 850 were directly employed by Laing with 100 more subcontracted. Coordination and communication between companies across the site to ensure workers safety was a prime concern during the project.

This photograph was used in the January 1976 edition of Team Spirit Laing's company newsletter.
