Description

A retirement presentation was held for John Michie on 22nd December 1975 at Laing's Mill Hill West Wing Dining Room. John Michie joined the company aged 15 and spent 45 years working for the Group, becoming a Managing Director of the Building Division. He managed many high profile contracts, including the first 55 miles of the M1 motorway.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
