Laing's Southern Region worked on the modernisation of the Abbey Life offices at Staple Hall, a seven-storey office block in Houndsditch, since demolished. This 'Thank You' party was laid on one afternoon for the Laing workers and sub-contractors who had worked on the project, with work having been carried out in just under a year. The party laid on for the site team included drinks and a darts match between various Laing teams and sub-contractors' teams.
This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
