There is no date recorded for this image, however the entry in the register is amongst others dated to the mid to late 1960s. The photo shows union jacks on top of the centre, flags to the front of the Woolworth store, and large crowds of people. A convoy of official looking cars is also visible. This photo was therefore probably taken on the day of the official opening ceremony.
This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
