Description

The Martin gas pipeline was installed in 1981 by Laing Industrial Engineering and Construction Ltd for British Gas. Running 84km from Hatton in Lincolnshire to Peterborough, it crossed 50 roads, eight rivers and four railways. Laing's site headquarters was at Martin in Lincolnshire.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
