Description

The donation made by the Laing Charitable Trust in February 1989 was the third for five annual donations to the World Wide Fund for Nature. The £10,000 cheque was presented to Sir Arthur Norman, WWF chairman, by Martin Laing. The donation was to sponsor a Local Authority Wildlife Award, to support and encourage authorities to manage land for nature conservation. In this photograph, Christopher Laing is on the left, Sir Norman Arthur is in the centre, and Martin Laing is second from right.
