Description

All of Laing's documents about the contract refer to Harehills Primary School but elsewhere it is known as Bankside Primary School. It is unclear when this became the school's official name. There is another school on Darfield Road called Harehills Primary School. It was built to the same template but is a mirror image of the Markham Avenue site. Bankside Primary was demolished and replaced with a larger modern school building between 2009 and 2010.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
