Description

Safeway having been established in 1962 were taken over by Morrisons in 2004 and their 428 shops rebranded, another 51 had to be sold under competition regulations.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
