Description

The headquarters of Abbey Life were constructed of reinforced concrete and the design resembled a seaside pavilion, with blue-green reflective glass, balconies and railings. The topping out ceremony was held on 22nd June 1990 and the building was officially opened a year later on 7th June 1991.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
