The photographer has written 'The "Druidical" Circle & Hunter's Grave' on the back of the print. Hunter's Grave is a reference to the horse which is buried under the stones and was owned by Colonel Greenwood of nearby Brockwood Park. The stone circle across the road was erected by his son William.
