Description

A fair in Stow has been in existence for over 500 years when a charter was granted in 1476 for it to take place twice a year in May and October. The fairs were originally a place to sell sheep, but with a decline in the wool trade, people from the Romani and Traveller communities now gather here to meet and trade their horses.
