The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: “How roller bandages are made (see attached story). Photo shows:- Breaking the long roll of tightly compressed and severed cloth into individual bandages. This machine can turn out 3,500 separate bandages per hour and they are now ready for packing up for sale to the public.”
