The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: “Apparatus for blood transfusion. Picture shows the apparatus used for blood transfusion work. On left is tube of glass beads for filtering stored blood; centre is flask used for blood container with rubber tubing from it ending in fine needle; and on right coil of tubing ending in large bore needle. Screw cap for covering flask when not in use at rear.”
